Minneapolis’ experimental dance scene explodes this weekend with four days of workshops, artist talks, and performances celebrating the myriad ways in which people dance and otherwise express themselves. The usual suspects are all wonderfully here — Body Cartography, Justin Jones, Paige Tighe, Anna Marie Shogren — as well as the mothers of the movement, HIJACK. But so are the ballet-trained Katelyn Skelley, Annicha Arts’ Pramila Vasudevan, and Young Dance. The experimental dance boom is in full force here. Live it and love it. Watch and learn.
