This workshop will focus on the pelvis: bones, muscles, and organs and how we can utilize our embodied anatomy in our practice of moving and living well. Through hands on practice we will dive into the systems of the body and create a deep foundation from which to expand our physical potential, and heighten our sensory awareness. We will explore how our bodies move while in physical contact with each other while focusing on the pelvis and how that informs our sense of gravity, momentum and inertia.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to feel great and learn more about their pelvis and its contents irregardless of your movement or bodywork background. Suitable for dancers, contact improvisers, bodyworkers, yoga practitioners, therapists, athletes, people with lower back issues, soon to be and new moms, performers of all disciplines and you!
