BMC_embody you_flyer_email_1Join Olive and Otto for a weekend of kinesthetic awareness through embodied anatomy. Together we will investigate how can Body-Mind Centering® can support our asana practice. We will take a holographic exploration of the human body to understand self and increase physical potential through movement and hands on study. We will explore the dimensionality of our organs, the magic of our glands and the sequencing power of our developmental movement. In studying somatics we not only learn about ourselves but come to understand how we learn. Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, the founder of Body-Mind Centering®, stated that “This study leads to an understanding of how the mind is expressed through the body and the body through the mind.”

This is a workshop for anyone who wants to feel great and learn more about their body and its contents irregardless of your movement or bodywork background. Suitable for bodyworkers, yoga practitioners, dancers, therapists, athletes, and movers of all disciplines.

Both Olive Bieringa(NZ) and Otto Ramstad(USA) are certified teachers of Body-Mind Centering® who have been teaching internationally for almost twenty years in contexts such as Impulstanz, Vienna, Movement Research, NYC, Ponderosa, Germany, TanzLaboratorium, Kiev and for universities dance companies, such as Footnote, Touch Compass, Axis Dance Company, California, Lyon Opera Ballet, Lyon, and Young Dance, Minneapolis.
