A Two-Day immersion in Contact Improvisation & Body-Mind Centering®
Through embodied exploration we will discover partnering that is effortless, intentional, and alive.

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00

Venue: Praxis Oslo
Limited spaces: 16 max, so make sure to book early.

Contact Improvisation will be our playground, a dance form rooted in physical laws of motion; mass, gravity, momentum, inertia. Body-Mind Centering® will offer an approach for embodied research where movement, perception, and consciousness meet. Together we will develop our sensory awareness, partnering skills, and improvisational expression.

Day One: Inner Architectures
We will begin by awakening anatomical and physiological precision, embodying our structural support of skeleton and fascia, and dropping into the dimensionality and metabolic power of our organs. Through guided movement, touch, and attention, we will identify, articulate, and integrate the body’s tissues, discovering the distinct movement qualities they offer.

Day Two: Sensory Beings
Our senses begin as potential and develop in response to stimulation and experience. The senses of touch and movement are located throughout the body — in every cell. The senses of vision, hearing, taste and smell are located in the head. It is through our senses that we receive information from our internal environment (ourselves) and the external environment (others and the world).  How we filter, modify, distort, accept, reject, and use that information is part of the act of perceiving. How to make different choices  and how do we open ourselves to something new?
