Baby and parent sessions

What if babies and adults of all ages were able to get the touch, support and movement they need to thrive?

I offer a child and relationship-centered approach to observing and facilitating infants, and educating parents and caregivers about touch, movement and handling in the first year of life.
I bring an approach which is gentle, non-intrusive, and playful rather than demanding. This approach is direct and highly specific to each individual child. My goal is to support a babies agency, comfort, curiosity and movement working together with the family in an interactive process. My intention is to meet each baby and family where they are.

"The first year of life is crucial in the development of the child and of the adult the child will become. During this time, the infant is forming the patterns of movement, perception, and organization of information on which it will build its relationships to itself, to others and to the world. Facilitating development during this period can greatly enhance the child’s physical, emotional and intellectual abilities." IDME webpage

Do you want to know what your baby might do next and how you might support them?

Are you looking for new ways to play with your baby?

Do you have concerns about your baby’s developmental progress?

Do you want to learn ways to pick up, set down and hold your baby?

"Olive is a really warm and playful human, who is really easy to relate to and to trust with your baby. She taught me a lot of intuitive and smart ways my baby would move naturally, and instead of forcing the movement, using a playful approach to encourage for example rolling. As I used the techniques or play I noticed both of us understood it better. I also learnt a lot more than I did with the physiotherapist. Really enjoyed it! Really useful and fun."  Saga's mum, Linnea Stålhammar

"How a baby is handled affects all aspects of their development: their patterns of perception, their problem-solving abilities, their emotional well-being, their cognitive functioning, and their sense of agency in the world. Even small changes in a caregiver’s habits and choices in handling their baby can add up to a significant difference in how a baby’s development is supported."  babies project
