Dear friends, family, participants and supporters,

We would love you to join us in our mission, of creating live art, dance and dialogue in public spaces. We have been sharing and investigating dance in the studio, the streets, urban parks and wilderness areas since late 1997. The groundbreaking work of BodyCartography continues to challenge the notion of art being separate from the rest of our life, but an integral part of it, free from the constraints of commercialized venues. It questions how we exist within the physical and social environments we inhabit. It brings our attention to the richness of the physical world, and our bodily experience of it.

Since the project's inception we have performed in over 90 venues, reaching over 8,000 audience members; from unsuspecting members of the public to informed dance audiences, inner city residents, people with disabilities, business and homeless people, commuters, children and many others.

We have been joined by over 300 participants, bringing art to places and people internationally, more often than not for free. The Project has been a training opportunity for many as dancers, performers and facilitators and has been a labor of love for all of us.

And our work is ongoing, with future workshops, performance and research intensives occurring internationally, including an exciting new rural/urban outdoor dance cinema project.

We invite you to invest in public art and culture with the BodyCartography Project.
