SEEDS 2016 at Earthdance
SEEDS 2016 is an interdisciplinary arts and ecology festival gathering artists, community activists, scientists, spiritual leaders, permaculture practitioners, and more at Earthdance. Through workshops, residencies, discussions, performances and artistic investigations, SEEDS aims to explore the potent space of art, allyship, movement practice, and ecology. By working with the connections between environmental racism, intersectional oppressions, power/territory, and privilege, SEEDS makes space for multiple voices and forms of participation while creating a space for embodied intelligence and collective inquiry. Workshops with Benoit Lachambre and more. Read more.
Embodied Performance: Minneapolis
Minneapolis Module 1: December 5-16, 2016: Monday to Friday 10-5pm + performance evening Wednesday 14 6-9pm/ Module 2 March 13-24th, 2017
Olive and Otto will lead an embodied practice in movement expression and creation using the somatic approach of Body-Mind Centering®. BMC® utilizes experiential study through application of anatomical, physiological, and developmental principles in hands-on practice, movement, and sound explorations. Participants will refine their creative process and performance work through self-study and group exploration. This training will enable participants to experience—in the present—how an understanding of their evolutionary past directly influences their life and their art.
Our current project CLOSER will tour to Chicago October 28-November 5th. It will be presented by the City Chicago at Links Hall. Don't miss it!
